Educator Resources vs the Educator Pack

The Educator Resources section is free to browse, and some materials are free to download outright. The Educator Pack is a one-time purchase that unlocks everything in it.

The Pack is not part of Pro. Pro ($8/month) raises your limits in the analysis tools. The Educator Pack ($39, paid once) unlocks the classroom materials. Neither includes the other, and you can buy either on its own. The Pack doesn’t expire or renew.

What’s in the Pack

Lesson plans — structured sessions with objectives, timings and activities
Slide decks — presentation-ready material for teaching each topic
Worksheets — student exercises with answer keys
Quizzes — printable assessments
Grading rubrics — for marking argument and reasoning work
Discussion prompts — starters for seminars and group work
A teaching guide — background and approach for teaching the material
Classroom extras — posters and supporting pieces

Anything added to the Pack later is included at no extra cost.

Getting to the materials

You’ll need an account set to educator — switch type any time in your profile. Resources you haven’t unlocked show an “Unlock to Download” button; once you own the Pack these become direct downloads.

Most resources come as a PDF. Where an editable version exists, you’ll see an Editable Word button beside the download so you can adapt the material for your own class.

What your licence covers

The Educator Pack is licensed for a single classroom — yours.

You may:

Print and photocopy the materials for the students you teach, as many times as you need
Project or present them in your lessons
Share them with your own students through a password-protected class page, your school’s LMS, or a private class group
Adapt and edit the materials to suit your class
Keep using them indefinitely, including in future years

Please don’t:

Pass the files to other teachers, including colleagues in your own department or school
Upload them anywhere publicly reachable — a class blog, a shared drive open beyond your students, or a resource-sharing site
Distribute them department-wide, school-wide or district-wide
Resell them, or include them in materials you sell

The short version: the Pack travels with you and the students in front of you. If a colleague wants to use these materials, they need their own copy.

Common licence questions

I teach several classes. Am I covered?

Yes. The licence follows you as a teacher, so all the classes you personally teach are covered — including across multiple year groups and future years.

What about a co-teacher or student teacher in my classroom?

Someone teaching alongside you, to your students, is covered. A colleague running their own separate class is not.

Can I put worksheets on our school LMS?

Yes, provided access is limited to the students in your class. What matters is that it isn’t reachable by the wider school or the public.

Can I keep using the materials after I stop subscribing to Pro?

Yes. The Pack is a one-time purchase and is completely separate from a Pro subscription. Cancelling Pro doesn’t affect it.

Using the tools with a class

Students need their own free accounts to use the Fallacy Finder, Bias Checker and Writing Lab, and each account needs a verified email address — worth setting up before a lesson rather than during one. School mail filters sometimes hold up verification emails, so allow time, and see troubleshooting if they don’t arrive.

The Fallacy Quiz needs no account at all, which makes it the most practical tool for a one-off lesson or a computer room with shared machines.
